Legend of the Lake
Author(s):
Jody Wyatt Price
Strange things have been happening in the Kingdom of Drainalot. The water supply seems to be evaporating. Everyone suspects that water-breathing dragon, Foznoggle, so Amber the Brave sets out to find him. But Foznoggle hasn't been taking the water; he's been trying to protect it. People all over the kingdom have been wasting water by not fixing leaky faucets and by washing loads of clothes and dishes that aren't full. These wasteful ways combined with a shortage of rain is plunging the kingdom into a serious water shortage. To save the kingdom's water and clear Foznoggle's name, Amber must learn about the magic of conservation. With two versions available, both show how water can be wasted through everyday activities to which children can easily relate. Delightful characters and humor teach the importance of conservation and environmental awareness.
